The first week of classes were very interesting. My classes started the 2nd of September and got cancelled because of the weather, since many roads were flooded thanks to the hurricane. I did not realized they were cancelled until I was already in the campus, but I took that time to walk and familiarize myself with the area before going back home. Thankfully, the area I live in did not get hit too hard by the hurricane and In-person classes resumed the next day. My first in-person class was Marketing 341: Consumer Behavior and I must say so far I am really happy with the class.
Something really nice that I got to do this week was meet the other National Exchange Students at MSU (group photo). There are 6 of us from 6 different states (AZ, Hawaii, Iowa, NM, SC and I forget the last state). I really enjoy getting to meet everyone and getting to know them. I hope we can continue meeting and explore NJ and NY together.
Lastly, I'm glad I choose this state and university, since I finally get the chance to be with my family and enjoy some quality time with the cousins I grew up with as well as the ones I'm still getting to know. Also, I recently learn that my Madrina, which I believe is Godmother is english, graduate from MSU. Making this whole experience even more special. I hope I can still have a positive outlook through this semester.
PS: I'm obviously still missing home and having my own space where I can relax and be alone. However, this experience is one of a kind and I'm glad I get to so this. Even if I miss my parents, brothers, and adorable pets, I can only wish myself the best of luck moving foward.

I'm glad you are enjoying yourself so far. It is really sad that the hurricane interferred with your first week of classes but hopefully that will resovle soon. What are you looking forward to see most in NY?
