Week 4 | 9/20 - 9/26

This has been fantastic. I got to meet one of my second cousin (the 4th photo below), go to a farm, and visit more of my family. This trip really is all about spending time with my extended family. Getting to meet more of them as well as reuniting/reconnecting with the family I grew up with. Being that I am Dominican, latina, family is really important to me and all my family members have a special place in my heart. So I am extremely happy that I get to be in a state where I can both keep studying while also being with people I care about.

It's always really exciting when I get to meet a new family member and since my family is so big, this happens a lot. This week I got to meet my cousin that also attends MSU, we got to eat together and get to know each other a little. It's funny how even though we are from the same family and know the same people/cousins we've never meet before. Granted, when it comes to my 2nd cousins, I literally have hundreds and I still haven't meet half of them. Overall, I'm having a great time in NJ but I must say I do miss having my own space, being with my immediate family and being able to play with my pets.
